The Soo Greyhounds just can't seem to get their act together in their new home.

On Saturday night at the Steelback Centre, the Hounds dropped their straight game at home and fourth overall as the Barrie Colts skated to a 6-2 Ontario Hockey League win.

As in the previous two games, the Hounds let the visitors on the scoreboard first and could never dig themselves out of the hole.

The Greyhounds struggled with Barrie's speed throughout and also had to deal with a fine goaltending performane from the Colts' Andrew Perugini.

With Josh Godfrey stepping out of the box to end a five-on-three advantage, Hunter Tremblay beat Kyle Gajewski on the power play to give the Colts a 1-0 lead 3:23 into the game.

Daniel Minor's first goal of the year at 10:55 followed by Bryan Little's goal just 18 seconds later put the Hounds in a deep 3-0 hole.

The Greyhounds managed to chip away at the Colts lead before the period was out as captain Cody Thornton tipped Josh Godfrey's point shot past Perugini at 15:49 on a four-on-three power play.

In the second period, the Greyhounds came out with more jump but the Colts restored their three goal lead with a power play goal from Vladimir Nikiforov before Dustin Jeffrey's breakaway marker with 4:40 remaining in the frame gave the Hounds some life heading for the third period.

But Barrie salted away the game in the third period as Little notched his second of the night and Tomas Marcinko rounded out the scoring. Tremblay finished with three assists on the night, while Little and Andrew Marshall had two each.

Barrie outshot the Hounds 28-24 in front on 4,364 fans.

The Greyhounds are back in action next weekend with two more games at the Steelback Centre. The Belleville Bulls visit on Friday at 7:30 p.m. while the Kingston Frontenacs are in town on Sunday at 7 p.m.

Futher details will be added.
