There was plenty of Spirit at Sault Memorial Gardens on Wednesday night but most of it came from Saginaw. Trailing 2-0 after one period, the Saginaw Spirit scored three times in the second period and twice more in the third en route to a 5-3 win over the listless Soo Greyhounds. The victory for Saginaw was the first for the former North Bay Centennials' franchise. The Spirit improved to 1-2-1 with the win, while the disappointing Hounds dropped to 1-4-1. Tomas Csabi, Paul Flache, Daniel Borges, Paul Bissonette and defenceman Frank Burgio, acquired earlier in the week from the Kingston Frontenacs, scored for Saginaw, while Adam Chapman, Jeff Carter and Rob Dmytruk scored for the Hounds. The 19-year old Dmytruk, obtained from the Sudbury Wolves via the Rayside-Balfour Sabercats of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League just last week, added an assist and was named the game's second star. Next Ontario Hockey League action for the Hounds is home to the London Knights on Friday.
