All Matt Hache needed was to get a win under his belt.

Finally getting his first Ontario Hockey League victory on Sunday night, Hache again led the Soo Greyhounds to another win on Thursday night in Windsor.

Hache faced 37 shots, including 22 in the second period alone, and stopped 34 to backstop the Hounds to a 4-3 win over the Spitfires.

By the 5:09 mark of the second period, the Greyhounds found themselves trailing 3-1 as Tyler Cuthbert notched the Soo's only goal in the first period.

After Richard Greenop scored for the 3-1 Windsor lead, Andrew Desjardins cued the comeback with his fourth goal of the season 51 seconds later. Less than five minutes after, Jiri Tlusty scored his fourth as a Hound to tie the score at 3-3.

Cody Thornton's 10th goal of the year at 2:30 of the third period would stand up as the game winner as the Hounds shutdown the Spitfires defensively over the final 20 minutes.

Thornton also set up a pair of goals on the night while the Greyhounds peppered Spitfires goaltender Anthony Gaudagnolo with 41 shots. Kevin Hudes and Jordan Nolan also scored for Windsor.

With the win, the Greyhounds shoot back to the .500 mark at 9-9-0-2 for 20 points.

The Greyhounds continue their three-game road swing on Friday night in Sarnia before visiting Guelph on Sunday afternoon.

The locals then return home to host the Sarnia Sting on Wednesday at the Steelback Centre beginning at 7 p.m.
