Representing the Sault Ringette Club at this year’s U12 Provincial Championships in Guelph, the Sault Ice Hawks brought home a Bronze medal in the Jacks Division grouping.

After finishing the round robin portion of the tournament with three wins and two losses, the Ice Hawks squared-off against Upper Ottawa Valley in the semi-final game. The game was an intense back and forth affair needing overtime to decide the winner with the Ice Hawks dropping a 6-5 decision.

Following the tournament, Head Coach Bruce Graham expressed his appreciation for the way the team developed throughout the year.

“To see this group of girls come together and compete the way they did against teams who regularly play in competitive loops in southern and eastern Ontario was a pleasure. The level of dedication, skill and sportsmanship displayed by this team was beyond expectation.”

The Sault Ringette Club and the coaches would like to congratulate the 14 players on the team for a great season and Championship tournament. They all represented the Sault Ringette Club and the City of Sault Ste. Marie well and with pride.

The players are: Danielle Baril, Hazel Berlinguette, Ella Burns, Marisol Carota, Maia Fabbro, Mya Fisher, Amber Frigon, Brooklyn Gioia, Olivia King, Sophie Kresin, Maddison Labine, Debra Martone, Sophia Salvini, and Emma Walker. Team staff are: Bruce Graham, Dave Walker, Chris Kresin, Adriano Carota, Amanda King, Connor Simms and Megan Rogozynski.
