Brad Jacobs is off to the playoff round at the Tour Challenge, the latest Grand Slam of Curling event going on in Pictou County, NS this week.
After opening the event with a loss on Wednesday, the Jacobs rink, which included third Marc Kennedy, second E.J. Harnden, and lead Ryan Harnden, reeled off three-straight victories to advance.
The winning streak included a 7-2 win over Matt Dunstone of Regina, Sask, in five ends on Friday to wrap up the round robin.
After blanking the opening end, Jacobs used a runback double in the second end on his final shot to score six and take a big lead early.

Dunstone got on the board with a single in the third end.
The teams capped off the scoring by trading singles in the fourth and fifth ends.
The Tour Challenge features 15 men’s and 15 women’s teams split into pools of five teams each.
The top eight teams advance to the quarterfinals on Saturday.
