KITCHENER -- Chris Thorburn debuted with Plymouth on Tuesday but it was fellow Sooite Cole Jarrett who led the Whalers to a 3-2 OHL win over the Kitchener Rangers before more than 5,400 fans at the Aud. It was the first game in a Whaler uniform for Thorburn, a 19-year old Sooite who joined Plymouth on Monday in a trade with the Saginaw Spirit. Wearing no. 19, Thorburn played a regular shift for the Whalers but didn't figure in on the scoring. But Jarrett -- Thorburn's buddy from the Soo -- had a pair of assists as Plymouth beat Kitchener and former Whalers' coach Pete DeBoer. Jarrett pushed his points total to 39 on the season. While the Rangers lost to Plymouth, Kitchener fans are celebrating the return of 19-year old defenceman Steve Eminger from the NHL Washington Capitals. Eminger will re-join the Rangers today after having played the first half of this season with Washington as an underage player.
