NEWS RELEASE

************************* Pair of Hounds to represent OHL in ADT Canada/Russia Challenge

Tuesday, October 24, 2006

In an announcement made earlier today, the Ontario Hockey League released their rosters for the 2006 ADT Canada/Russia Challenge.

The latest edition of this international series will see the OHL squad take on the Russian National Junior Team in Sarnia, Ontario on Thursday, November 23 and Oshawa, Ontario on Monday, November 27.

Both games are scheduled for 7 p.m.

Among the 32 OHL players selected was Greyhounds centreman Dustin Jeffrey.

Jeffrey will suit up for Team OHL in the game scheduled for Sarnia.

The Courtright, Ontario native is off to the best start of his OHL-career and through the opening 13 games has 13 goals and 9 assists.

Those 22 points lead the Greyhounds while also placing Dustin 6th in the entire Ontario Hockey League.

The Hounds second representative will come behind the bench.

Head Coach Craig Hartsburg has been selected to guide Team OHL through both games of the series.

This gives the Hounds skipper an added opportunity to look over players as they vie for a spot on Team Canada for this year's World Junior Hockey Championship.

Of the 32 players on the roster, five were members of last year's Team Canada gold-medal winning squad while 12 others were participants in this past summer's evaluation camp.

Fans in Sault Ste. Marie can catch both of these games live on Rogers Sportsnet, Channel 18.
