One week after narrowly fitting in the entire race card, Thursday night saw Laird International Raceway cap off an exciting night in a quick fashion.

Cory Furkey had a solid night in the Late Model Division. Furkey drove the No. 24 car to top spot in the fast car dash before securing a third and a fourth in the heat races. In the final feature race of the night, Furkey won the 25 lap feature, edging out Donnie Varcoe and Jeremy Van Hoek. Van Hoek was making his first appearance at Laird this season.

Rod Bolduc and Tim Aho won the division's two heat races.

In the Factory Stock Division John Hamilton held of John Fragale to win in the feature. Hamilton also won one of the heat races while John Hayes won the other. Hamilton won the fast car dash, edging out Fragale for the victory.

Nick Jobst had a successful night in the Modified Division. Jobst took home his first feature win of the season, while also winning the division's first race of the night, the fast car dash. Dennis Uhlman, who finished second in the feature race won the second heat while Mav MacDonald also won a heat race.

In the Stock 4 Division, the division had a tough time keeping the feature together and wound up completing just three laps prior to the 15-minute track imposed deadline to complete races. The deadline was put in lace to secure the event runs smoothly and ends at a decent hour. Dean Wade captured the checkered flag for the feature win. Tristan Anderson, Jake Irwin, Adam Gardner, and Tyler Parsons won the heat races. Gardner won the fast car dash.

As always, LIR continues racing action next Thursday night with qualifying set for 6 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m.
