Meet the Lakers at an ESPN Tailgate Party

Public can meet LSSU athletes at ESPN Tailgate Party

SAULT STE. MARIE – Lake Superior State University students, faculty and staff, and the general public are invited to meet LSSU athletes from all 13 varsity sports during a free ESPN Tailgate Party from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 4.

The Tailgate will take place on the Cooper Track behind the Norris Center. The event includes food and refreshments, games and music. In the case of inclement weather, it will move inside to the Arbuckle Student Activity Center. Laker hockey and basketball fans will also have an opportunity to purchase season tickets at the Norris Center Ticket Office.

The ESPN Tailgate is part of a Monday Night Football Tour sponsored by Charter Media. Special events include a passing accuracy cage, agility testing area and football trivia table. Participants have a chance to win the ESPN Ultimate Football Tailgate Set or a Monday Night Football Grill2Go portable grill.

Representatives from the LSSU hockey, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's indoor and outdoor track, volleyball and softball teams will be on hand to sign autographs and greet the public.
