New Algoma Rowing Club to host meeting, info session

Algoma Rowing Club Information Meeting This Friday

Anyone interested in the sport of rowing is invited to an information sessions/kick off meeting for the newly initiated “ALGOMA ROWING CLUB” on Friday, Nov. 10th at noon. This session will take place in the George Leach Centre Meeting Room.

This new club is a joint program being offered by Algoma U, RYTAC and the YMCA. The meeting will include an introduction to the coaches/coordinators and a discussion regarding expectations and training schedules. Dryland training will take place at the George Leach Centre.

The facility has recently acquired five new Concept II Rowing Ergometers for dryland training purposes! “On the water” training will commence at RYTAC in the spring.
