North Stars win seventh in a row

The Soo North Stars continue to shine above the rest of the Great North Midget League. On Saturday night at the John Rhodes Community Centre, the North Stars blanked the New Liskeard Cubs 5-0 to win their seventh game in seven starts.

The Soo North Stars continue to shine above the rest of the Great North Midget League.

On Saturday night at the John Rhodes Community Centre, the North Stars blanked the New Liskeard Cubs 5-0 to win their seventh game in seven starts.

The two teams meet again on Sunday at the Rhodes beginning at 1 p.m.

Brett Thompson and Luke O'Brien paced the North Stars with two goals each while Kevin Mills notched the other. O'Brien and Mills each picked up an assist in the win while Chris Hales set up three goals.

Thomas Gravelines recorded the shutout in goal.
