The Soo Thunder and Sault Star Legion Civics teams were in tough over the weekend in Ontario Cup soccer action held locally.
The two teams both found themselves ending their tournaments with 0-3 records for the weekend.
In the Under-18 Girls Division, the Soo Thunder dropped a 3-2 decision to the eventual tournament champion Brampton Brams United Rebels to open their schedule on Saturday.
Later in the day, they dropped a 3-0 decision to the Sarnia Bluewater Xtreme. The Thunder capped their tournament with another 3-2 loss, this one at the hands of the Newmarket York United Jaguars.
In the Under-14 Boys Division it was a tough weekend as the Sault Star Legion Civics scored just twice in three games en route to an 0-3 record in the tournament.
After opening with a 2-0 loss to St. Catharines Concord on Saturday morning, the Civics dropped another 2-0 decision to the Scarborough Blizzard 91's to round out day one.
Day two was not much better for the Civics. Despite showing signs that their offense was coming on, the locals dropped a 5-2 decision to Strathroy Middlesex to finish off their tournament.
