John Epping's Ontario rink will add Ryan Fry at third next season after his departure from Team Brad Jacobs.
Fry played with Team Jacobs for seven years before they announced in March 2019 that they would be parting ways after this season. This announcement followed a low point for Fry, who was disqualified when subbing at the Red Deer Curling Classic for what organizers called 'unsportsmanlike behaviour,' resulting from excessive drinking.
Fry returned in January for the Canadian Open, where Team Jacobs played well but lost in the semifinal at the Brier.
Epping has announced this morning that Fry will replace Craig Savill on Team Epping.
The line-up of Epping's team will consist Matt Camm at second, Brent Laing at lead, and Fry at third.
Fry announced in a tweet this morning that he is "grateful for the opportunity to play alongside some of the best guys and players in the game."
Team Epping won the 2018 masters, completing a career Grand Slam for Epping by winning all four 'majors.'
They lost in the 2019 Tim Hortons Brier Wild Card Game, where they lost to Edmonton's Team Brendan Bottcher.
Fry will play with Jacobs at this week's Players' Championship in Toronto.
