The Sault Sabercats dropped a 47-26 decision to the Niagara Spears. The Sabercats fell behind 17-0 to the 1-0 Spears after one quarter. The locals currently trail 24-7 heading into the half.

The Sault Sabercats dropped a 47-26 decision to the Niagara Spears.

The Sabercats fell behind 17-0 to the 1-0 Spears after one quarter. The locals currently trail 24-7 heading into the half. John Mullin ran the ball nine yards for the Sabercats lone touchdown in the half.

After three quarters the Sabercats trailed 31-14. Mullin hit Michael Martens for a 43-yard touchdown catch for the Sabercats.

In the fourth quarter Peter McGonegal ran in for a 5-yard score while Cory Wensley caught a 36-yard touchdown pass to complete the Sault scoring to make the final 47-26 Niagara.
