It was a tough weekend at home for the Sault College basketball teams.
Playing host to Fanshawe in both women’s and men’s basketball, Sault College dropped four games to the Falcons.
In women’s basketball action on Saturday, 10 different players put up points as Fanshawe picked up a 77-38 win.
Chuot Angou led Fanshawe with 14 points while Mikhaila Wright had 13 points and seven rebounds. Natalie Warren also had 13 points for the Falcons.
Cassidy Sabourin led Sault College with nine points.
On Sunday, Angou had 20 points as Fanshawe’s women’s team capped the weekend with a 78-18 win.
Warren chipped in with 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Falcons.
Clara Yanchuk had six points for Sault College. Sabourin had four points and 15 rebounds.
In men’s basketball action, Fanshawe picked up an 82-69 win in Saturday’s contest on the strength of a 19-point, 19 rebound game from Alfred Johnson.
Hanani Ujullu chipped in with 15 points and 12 rebounds while D’Andre Austin also had 15 points for Fanshawe.
Simon Wal had 13 points for Sault College.
Kevon Clarke added 12 points and 11 rebounds for Sault College.
Jaylyne Moore-Tucker, Valentine Okeke, and Mahier Mohamed had 11 points each for Sault College.
In Saturday’s men’s game, Johnson had 23 points and 14 rebounds as the Fanshawe men capped off the sweep with a 74-59 win.
Marko Maletic had 18 points for Fanshawe.
Clarke and Brian Senecal had 10 points each for Sault College.
Both Sault College basketball teams are back in action next weekend at home with games at home against Humber.
