WEEK #2 RESULTS

MYTE DIVISION (8-10)

This week started just like last week ended with another last second victory as Lop Lops held off J.M.C.'s last second drive to win 35-28. Quarterback Nicholas Sicoly started the game with a 65 yard touchdown run and added three more rushing touchdowns to lead Lop Lop's. Zachary Sececal rounded out the scoring for Lop Lops with a touchdown run of his own. J.M.C. continued their strong play with four different players hitting paydirt. Cole Beacock rumbled his way through Lop Lop defenders on his way to a long kickoff return for a touchdown. Dalton Toppan, Devin Service, and Tyler Smith each crossed the goaline on T.D runs for J.M.C. Lop Lop's Sicoly was chosen by the referee's as the Scholars' Player of the Game.

In the other Myte division tilt, Running back Chris Sabourin rushed for two touchdowns to lead the Rezolution Raiders to a 21-7 victory over the Community First Crushers. Colter Pozzebon scored on a touchdown run to complete the scoring for the Raiders. Crusher's quarterback Noah Sartoretto scored from 1 yard out for his team's only score. Raider's linebacker Jacob Myers continued his strong play tackling everything that moved earning him the Scholars' Learning Player of the game.

TYKE DIVISION (11-12)

In the Tyke Division's first match-up, Matt Pinder rushed for three touchdowns and Sports Gold's defense stymied Rome's offense en-route to a 22-8 Sports Gold victory. Rome's Mathieu Ouellet scored his teams only touchdown. Pinder was named the Scholar's Learning player of the game.

The second Tyke division battle was a case of whoever has the ball last wins. Well, Flakeboard quarterback James White continued his stellar play and scored on a 60yard touchdown run as time expired to give his team a 28-24 victory in a thriller over Sal Dan. White also threw a touchdown pass with teammates Cameron Palumbo and Josh Miskiw rounding out the scoring with one touchdown run a piece. Sal Dan's J.P. Stefanizzi had a huge game as the left handed quarterback threw three touchdown passes, one each to Cade Nolan, Nick Fabbro, and Mark Bruni. Nolan also had a touchdown run earning him the Scholars' learning player of the game.

BANTAM DIVISION (13-14)

The Bantam division kicked off their season Sunday and what a way to start the year. Aurora's Quarterback Mario Bruni found receiver David McNally in the end zone for the second time in the game as time expired and Jordan Chiarello kicked the two point conversion in Aurora's 45-44 come from behind win over Firefighters. Both teams executed beautifully on offense as they traded touchdowns back and forth. Slotback Anthony Butorac scored on two touchdown runs for Aurora's with teammates Neil Fesko and Marcus Dias adding one touchdown run apiece. Firefighter's offense was equally explosive with running back Trevor Plumley sprinting his way to three touchdown runs. Tanner Evans added two touchdown runs and teammate Kurtis Giommi added a touchdown reception on a halfback option to complete the scoring. Plumley's strong effort earned him the Scholars' learning player of the game.

In the second Bantam division contest, Scholars looked as if they were in mid-season form as they defeated Stitch King 36-22. Speedy receiver Colin Booth led the way for Scholars with two nice touchdown runs. Teammates Justin Felix, Chad Thibodeau, and Adam Paci replied with one touchdown run apiece. Stitch King was led by their speedy duo of Brock Hoover and Dylan Hebert. Hoover exploded with two touchdowns while his backfield partner added one. Hoover's effort earned him the Scholars player of the game.

In the final Bantam division match up, Filtrec used a balanced offence and a stingy defense to defeat Brody's 32-16. Speedy running back Matthew Fitton led the way for Filtrec with two touchdown runs. Quarterback Josh Hicks hit Brandon Hayes for a 25 yard touchdown pass and Filtrec teammates Paul Orlando and Ben Muncaster each had a touchdown run to round out the scoring. Brody's was led by Brandon Corelli's 60 yard touchdown pass to Christian Gassi. Running back Michael Nelson completed the scoring for Brody's with a touchdown run.
