SAULT MINOR FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION REPORT

WEEK # 5

MYTE DIVISION

In the first of two Myte Division match-ups, both defenses proved to be difficult to score on as J.M.C Builders and Rezolution played to a 7-7 tie. J.M.C's big running back Cole Beacock rumbled in for his teams touchdown with Rezolution receiving their touchdown from Colter Pozzebon. Tyler Smith from J.M.C was the player of the game.

It was all Community First in the second game as they defeated Lop Lops 28-7. Cameron Elgie had another strong performance for the Crushers as the running back rushed for three touchdowns in the win. Drake Pilon completed the scoring on a touchdown run for Community First. Noah Creedon was selected as the Scholars's Player of the Game.

TYKE DIVISION

Flakeboard received touchdowns from three different players and their defense held on late in the game en route to an 18-12 victory over Calzone's. Quinn Barbon, Joshua Miskiw and James White all scored for Flakeboard. Calzone's Mitch Mazzuca replied with two touchdowns for Calzone's. Flakeboard's James White was selected as the player of the game.

Sports Gold's defense continued it strong play and the offense looked sharp in a 38-7 victory over Sal Dan. Sports Gold's Matt Pinder and Justin Elwgren each scored two touchdowns apiece to power Sports Gold. Single touchdowns for the blue and white were added by Mitchell Osborne and Alex Christie. Nick Fabbro scored Saldan's lone touchdown. Matt Pinder was selected as the player of the game.

BANTAM DIVISION

Slot back Colin Booth proved to be too much for the Firefighters defense as he reached the end zone three times as Scholar's defeated the Firefighters 28-14. Quarterback Anthony Miller scored Scholar's other touchdown on a run of his own. Firefighters were led by Trevor Plumley's two touchdowns. Defensive standout Mark Orazietti was named the Scholars' player of the game.

Aurora's Quarterback Mario Bruni threw a record 4 touchdown passes, three two David McNally and one to Andrew Paluzzi as Aurora's defeated Brody's 36-14. Linebacker Matthew Miskiw returned an Interception 65 yards at the end of the first half to complete the scoring for Aurora's. Brody's running back Tyler Troverello played a strong game for his team scoring both his teams touchdowns. Aurora's wide receiver David Mcnally was selected as the player of the game.

Filtrec scored early and turned two first half Stitch King turnovers into touchdowns as they defeated Stitch King 39-22. Running back Matthew Fitton had another strong game for Filtrec as he sprinted his way to three touchdowns. Teammates Paul Orlando scored two touchdowns and Ben Muncaster one to round out the scoring for Filtrec. Dylan Hebert scored twice and Alex Morrison reached the end zone once for Stitch King. Fitton was selected as the Scholars Learning player of the game.
