Lop Lops proved that the regular season means nothing as they knocked off the previously undefeated JMC Builders 35-28 in overtime as the Sault Minor Football Association continued with semi-final playoff action on Sunday.

In the myte division semi-final, Aidan MacLeod was the hero for Lop Lops scoring the winning touchdown in overtime. JMC refused to give up in this game.

Trailing 28-14 late in the game, David Toppan scored one of his two touchdowns to cut the deficit in half. JMC attempted the onside kick but Lop Lops retained possession only having to kneel to run out the clock and secure the win.

However with 19 seconds remaining, JMC forced a fumble deep in Lop Lops territory to have an opportunity to break even. With one second remaining, David Toppan ran wide for the major and force overtime. JMC had first opportunity to score but a stingy Lop Lops defense denied their attempt.

Aidan MacLeod's third touchdown of the game sealed the victory for Lop Lops. Braedan Turco also chipped in with a touchdown for Lop Lops. Mark Bruni paced JMC with two scores. Lop Lop's now moves on to next Sunday's championship game.

In the other myte semi-final, a second half collapse by the MemberCARE Rhino's was the difference as Rezolution won the rubber match 35-15. Thomas Miskiw led the Raiders with three touchdowns.

Thomas Pratt also scored. James Foster sealed the game with a 30 yard interception return late in the game. Rhino's quarterback Neil Shaule found Devon Pigeon in the endzone for an early score. Jordan Tomasone took a pitch 60 yards for MemberCARE's other major. Rezolution goes on to meet Lop Lop's in next Sunday's championship game at Rocky Dipietro field.

In the tyke division, Brock Hoover's fourth touchdown of the game with 1:30 remaining was the difference as Sportsgold edged GP Flakeboard 33-24. GP gave the regular season champions all they could handle in this contest frustrating the Sportsgold offence. Anthony Butorac led GP with a pair of touchdowns and Mathhew Fitton contributed with one.

A touchdown by Jerret Semzyszyn proved to be the winner as Joey Calzone's defeated Rome's 13-6. Joey Calzone quarterback Spencer MacGillivray found Jake Wright in the endzone for the other major. Quarterback Marc Cuglietta scored the lone touchdown for Romes. Joey Calzone's will meet Sportsgold for bragging rights in the tyke division final on Sunday at Rocky DiPietro Field. In the bantam division, Aurora's Westside received touchdowns from four different players enroute to a 30-14 win over Firefighters. Brian Nanne, David Quesnele, Jesse McCaig and Matt Buchan scored for the Wildthings. Fraser Speakman and Nicholas Hughey scored for Firefighters in a losing cause.

Todd Wagner was the difference the youngster scored three touchdowns to lead Brody's over Scholars 24-0. Brody's will go on to face Aurora's in the bantam Championship game Sunday at 8 o'clock at Rocky Dipietro field.
