A local figure skater brought gold home from a competition this past weekend.

Evie-Marie Beach placed first in three events at Skate Thunder Bay; Star 9 O14 short program, Star 10 free program and Gold Team Elements.

“Evie has been working very hard and has been having a great season so far. It’s exciting to see the skater’s hard working paying off” said Kerry Bain, Lake Superior Figure Skating Club’s director of skating.

Beach’s goal is to qualify for Provincials in March.
