Sault youngster qualifies for World Karate Championships

Madison Beriault of Sault Ste. Marie, representing Legion Hapkido, finished fourth in sparring to qualify for a spot on Team Canada and a place at the World Karate Championships in Albufeira, Portugal Oct. 26 to Nov. 1.

She is coached by her mother, Courtney Beriault, and instructed by Steve Jensen, Keith Perks and Michael Paciocco.
