After a lackluster opening two games, the Ottawa Senators are back in the swing of things.

The Senators defeated the Anaheim Ducks 5-3 on Saturday night in Ottawa to win game three of the Stanley Cup finals. The Ducks still lead the series 2-1, but the Senators finally began to find the groove that got them to the finals.

The Senators battled back on three separate occasions after falling behind. The Senators fell behind by scores of 1-0, 2-1, and 3-2 and in each case came back to tie the score.

Andy McDonald, Corey Perry, and Ryan Getzlaf scored for the Ducks while Chris Neil, Mike Fisher, Daniel Alfredsson, Dean McAmmond, and Anton Volchenkov scored for the Senators. Alfredsson's goal was originally waved off after referee's ruled he kicked the puck in. It was later determined by video review that the goal would count.

Ray Emery stopped 19 shots while Jean Sebastian Giguere was busier stopping 24 of 29 shots in the loss.

Chris Pronger found himself in trouble again after an incident involving McAmmond. McAmmond was hit with a stiff arm from Pronger and left the game dazed.

Chris Kunitz, who was playing in his first game since missing seven with a broken finger, was injured early in the second period.

Game four in the series is set for Monday night at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa
