The Soo Greyhounds remain in search of that elusive first win of the season after dropping a 3-2 decision to the Windsor Spitfires on Saturday night.

With the loss, the Greyhounds fall to 0-4-1 in the pre-season with a final contest slated in Saginaw against the Spirit on Sunday afternoon.

First round draft pick Chris Lawrence and Matt Maccarone scored for the Greyhounds. Jakub Cech went the distance in goal for Hounds stopping 19 of the 22 shots he faced. The Greyhounds fired 21 shots on goal offensively.

The game was played in Leamington. In Windsor on Friday night, the teams skated to a 3-3 tie.

The Greyhounds open the Ontario Hockey League regular season on Friday against the Ottawa 67's at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Gardens. The Erie Otters visit the Hounds on Sunday at 2 p.m.
