The Sault Steelers survived a late game comeback and eventually ran out the clock on the North Bay Bulldogs for a 25-23 win on Saturday night in North Bay.

Leading 25-17, the Steelers gave up a late fourth quarter touchdown to Bulldogs running back Kevin Ramakko but North Bay fumbled the two-point convert attempt to tie the game.

The Steelers regained control on offense and ran out the clock, giving the Bulldogs only one more offensive play in the game.

Josh Gauthier, who ran for over 100 yards, scored two touchdowns for the Steelers while Noah Rushon hauled in two touchdown passes from quarterback Travis McLean, including a 75 yard catch and run.

The Steelers are now 4-1 on the season and will return home for back-to-back games starting with a contest against the Sudbury Spartans on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Rocky DiPetro Field.
