After two days and four games at the All-Ontario Bantam AAA Hockey Championships in Mississauga, the Soo Thunder remain in search of their first victory.

On Tuesday, the Thunder dropped to 0-4 in the round robin after a pair of tough one-goal losses. To open the day, the Thunder fell 4-3 to the Thunder Bay Kings before being clipped 3-2 by the Whitby Wildcats.

Against Thunder Bay, the Thunder grabbed a 3-2 lead early in the third period on a power play goal by Brett Thompson but the Kings rallied with two goals 1:03 apart just moments later and held on for the win.

Tyler Hawdon also scored for the Thunder on the power play while Nick Beaudoin added the other. Thompson also picked up an assist.

After falling behind Whitby 2-0, the Thunder rallied to tie the game late in the third period but a Wildcats goal in the dying seconds sealed the victory. Beaudoin and Richard MacLennan each scored on the power play and added assists for two point outings.

The Thunder are back in action on Wednesday with a single game against the host Mississauga Ice Dogs at 2 p.m. The locals close the round robin on Thursday with an 8 a.m. contest against the Toronto Marlboros.
