The Soo Thunderbirds were eliminated from the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League playoffs on Sunday night in Sudbury.
In game five of the best-of-seven NOJHL semi-final, the Thunderbirds fell 4-1 to the Sudbury Junior Wolves and drop the series 4-1.
The Wolves now advance to the league championship series and await the winner of the Soo Indians/North Bay Skyhawks semi-final. The Indians currently lead 3-2 after scoring a 5-4 double overtime win on Sunday.
