Time to get your skis waxed

The Searchmont Ski Runners are gearing up for the season with a fundraising event on Saturday. The Ski Runners will host the Pontiac-GMC Wax Day at Prouse Motors on Great Northern Road from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The Ski Runners will host the Pontiac-GMC Wax Day at Prouse Motors on Great Northern Road from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

For $5, one can get their skis or snowboard waxed for the upcoming season and automatically enter a draw for a $250 Atomic gift package.

Funds raised go to support local alpine ski racers.

It is a big season for SSR as the Resort will host two major events and was selected as the home base for the newly formed Northern Ontario Division Team which will partcipate in FIS alpine races across North America.
