The System International U-12 Girls Civics team traveled to Sudbury this past weekend to kickoff their North Region soccer league with two games against the Sudbury SC Italia U12 girls.

Saturday saw the System International squad defeat the Sudbury team 3–0. Hannah Murray booted a pair while Danita Caruso chipped in with a goal to round out the scoring for the Sault. Brooke Bellerose posted the shutout.

Sunday, the System International team continued their assault on their northern neighbor's by defeating them 5–0. Led again by Hannah Murray with 2 goals, other scorers were Danita Caruso, Bronte Yandeau and Tierra Chartrand.

Brooke Bellerose posted her second straight shutout, standing tall when tested.

Once again a resilient team defense coupled with an energetic mid-field and strong offensive pressure proved too much for the Sudbury team.

The two road wins leave the System International team in the driver's seat for the North Region crown as the Sudbury team now will have to travel to the Sault for the remaining two games.

The Systems International U-12 girl's team is coached by Ven Mazzuca and Carlo Francella and managed by Dina Ferlaino.
