Wednesday's Mayor's Cup results

The Wawa Travelers Alumni were faced with the task of playing twice in a three hour span at the Mayor's Cup City Men's Hockey League playoff championships on Wednesday night at the Pee Wee Arena.

In their first game, the Travelers Alumni fell 14-6 to Foggy Notions before dropping an 11-6 decision to Assante Capital/Mr. Transmission in the open division.

Kevin MacKay potted three goals and assisted on four others to pace Foggy Notions. Denny Lambert scored three times and added two assists, Paul Godfrey notched a pair to go with four helpers while Nick Tombari and Carl Halverson each scored two goals and assisted on another. Singles went to Frank Porco, who added four assists, and Scott Booth, who assisted on three more. Dave Ritchie had four helpers with John Ferguson and Dan Lambert setting up two each.

Adam Kauppi replied with a two goal and two assist effort, Mike Lamonthe scored twice, Derek Doyle and Tyler Gendron each scored once and set up two others, while Tyson Sweezey recorded three assists.

For Assante Capital/Mr. Transmission, Greg Mizzi led the way with two goals and three assists while Andy Lesyshen scored twice and set up two more and Nathan Inch potted a pair. Lane Berton, Sean O'Dell and Andre Blais recorded a goal and an assist each while Mike Ciotti and Adam Dunseath scored once.

Ian Jamieson replied with three goals for the Alumni with a goal and assist effort each going to Lamonthe, Kauppi and Scott Killens. Kyle Rodgers, Matt Conway and Gendron set up two goals each.

In the 33-and-over division, Doug Laprade scored three times and assisted on two others to pace Mr. Transmission to a 7-4 win over Smack Daddy's.

Al Carrier added two goals for the winners with singles going to Rick Evans and Eric Hicks. Roger Rosset recorded four assists and Romano Carlucci two. Mark Entwistle replied with a goal and two assists for Smack Daddy's while Chad Bouchard, Trevor Robidoux and Dan Nardo scored once each. Tony Jameus set up two goals.

Stitch King/Weedman used two goals and two assists from Bill Carriere in a 6-5 win over the American Mohawks. Tony Greco scored twice for Stitch King/Weedman while Mike Johnson and Tim Burton each scored once and set up two others.

Corey Metro replied with three goals and an assist for the Mohawks while Al Bouschor added a goal and three assists and Joe Micolo a goal and an assist.
