The magic continues for BDO Dunwoody as they remain unbeaten in their last seven start.

The winning streak has created a log jam at the top of the standings with BDO, Sports Gold and Skip's Kweok each sharing identical records of seven wins and 1 loss.

With plus/minus records separating the teams, Skip's sits in first place (+25), BDO second (+22) and Sports Gold third (+21). Nine games were played on the weekend at McMeeken and Rankin arenas.

*** GAME RESULTS:

B & J Trucking – 10 Algoma Insurance – 4

Joanne Pine scored six times as B&J Trucking rolled over Algoma Insurance 10-4. Christine Robertson scored twice with singles from Kyla Sewell and Rose Jones. Jones also had two assists along with Natalie Barry and Caroline Walker. Deb Nolan had four assists and Rosalee Boissoneau, one. Debbie Johnston had all four goals for Algoma Insurance. Doreen Shaw had three helpers with singles coming from Barb Defelice, Tanya Thompson, Nancy Houle and Debbie Desgagne.

BDO Dunwoody – 10 White Oak Paint – 2

BDO Dunwoody beat up on White Oak Paint, scoring five times in the first period on route to a 10-2 win. Wendy Basawa had eight points with six goals and two assists. Amanda Fata had a goal and two assists and Laurie Laudadio, one goal and one assist. Pick up players, Natalie Barry and Kelly Cudmore each scored once as Barry also collected three assists and Cudmore, one assist. Other helpers went to Pam Booth (3) and Jen Blahey (3). Karen Gartshore had a goal and an assist for White Oak Paint. Julie Laroque had White Oak's other goal while Chris Elliott and pick up player, Theresa Glover, had one assist each.

Sports Gold – 4 Country Way – 0

With a shortened roster and no goalie, Country Way put forth a valiant effort against a strong Sports Gold team but came up empty, losing 4-0. Using six skaters for the entire game, captain Patti Lutz put in double duty, tending goal and playing as a third defence but it was all for not as Country Way's Teri Bonnell picked up her third shut out of the season. Katie Healy had two goals while Andrea Jarzombek and Kathy Pinkse each scored once. Pinkse also had one assist along with Brianne Greco, Sabrina Fischer and Penny Souliere.

Skip's Kweok – 3 Source for Sports – 2

Skip's Kweok kept their grip on first place with a close 3-2 win over Source for Sports. After falling behind 1-0 in the second frame, Skip's scored three times in a row to take a 3-1 lead midway through the third. Source closed the gap to 3-2 with 1:25 remaining but was unable to score the equalizer. Mona Jones, Leah-Anne Pine and Sue Sherrard each scored for the Kweok with Sherrard and Sara McCabe adding one assist. Source for Sports replied with goals from Chantal Anderson and pick up player, Andrea Jarzombek. Elaine Derosario, Carrie Mancuso and Donna May Sayers-Lariviere had one assist each.

Sports Gold – 6 Crawford's Canines – 1

Crawford's Canines dropped their second straight game, losing 6-1 to Sports Gold. Andrea Jarzombek scored twice and added one assist while Katie Healy had two goals. Kathy Pinkse scored a goal and had two assists. Penny Souliere chipped in with a goal and an assist and Brianne Greco had two assists in the win. Crawford's Lisa Rowlinson ruined Teri Bonnell's chance at her fourth shut out scoring midway through the opening frame, unassisted.

Source for Sports – 4 Country Way – 0

Rookie Amanda Luther earned her second shut out of the year as Source for Sports blanked Country Way 4-0. Carrie Mancuso scored twice while Lisa Venier and Chantal Anderson each scored once. Kellie Carter pitched in with two helpers and Donna May Sayers-Lariviere had one. With four of Country Way's regulars out of the line up, including goalie Sherri Collins and centre, Francine "Flash" Floreani, they were once again forced to play with a depleted roster. Floreani will remain out of the line up until early March after suffering a broken ankle in a game December 11th.

BDO Dunwoody – 4 B & J Trucking – 1

A 4-1 win over B&J Trucking moved BDO into second place, just barely ahead of Sports Gold in league standings. B&J struck first but then fell behind 2-1 after one period of play. A goal in the second and one late in the third sealed the win for BDO. Wendy Basawa scored twice and had one assist while Laurie Laudadio had one goal and one assist. Jen Blahey had the other marker for BDO. Scoring for B&J was Natalie Barry. Kyla Sewell earned the only assist.

White Oak Paint – 6 Ontario Concrete – 2

Still looking for their first win of the season, Ontario Concrete dropped a 6-2 decision to a powerful White Oak Paint squad. Jen Greco scored a hattrick and had one assist in the win. Debbie Beauchamp had two goals while Karen Gartshore added a goal and two assists. Single assists went to Julie Laroque, Sheree Wright and pick up players, Andrea Jarzombek and Amber Lahti. Ontario Concrete managed only two goals against White Oak, who padded their roster with pick up goalie, Cat Schryer. Only Kathy Berdux and Geri Miller were able to beat "The Cat", both on unassisted efforts.

Algoma Insurance – 4 Lafarge – 2

Algoma Insurance put the brakes on a six-game losing skid with a 4-2 win over Lafarge. Two third period goals by Deb Johnston was the difference as Algoma picked up their first win since November 27th. Debbie "Digger" Desgagne and Theresa Glover also scored with assists going to Trish Baldassarro (2), Doreen Shaw (2), Nancy Houle and Penny Glover. Patti Storozuk and Lori Ballstadt each had a goal and an assist for Lafarge while Alicia Pollock pitched in with one helper of her own.
