The league welcomed back a long time friend and big time supporter, Jane Crawford, this past Sunday at McMeeken.

Jane, daughter of Crawford's Canines team sponsor, Al Crawford, made a surprise appearance in goal for the Canines. Regular goalie, Wanda Grife, is out of the line up indefinitely with a "lower body" injury.

Crawford strapped on the pads after receiving special permission from the league and of course, cooperation from their opponents, Skip's Kweok. Both teams are still trying to secure final playoff positions in their respective divisions. Skip's won the game 4-2.

A 1-1 tie between Algoma Insurance and Lafarge helped Lafarge crawl back into the eighth and final playoff spot and guaranteed Algoma a trip to the 'B' division playoffs, although their final standing is still up in the air (5th to 8th).

There's a wild and crazy battle going on in the 'B' division loop between Algoma Insurance, Crawford's Canines, White Oak Paint, Lafarge and B&J Trucking.

The league wraps up its regular season schedule this Sunday, March 12th. None of the league's eleven teams have determined their final position yet.
