Additions to last week's report: Teri Bonnell picked up her first shutout if the season for Sports Gold, while newbie Debbie Bird-Thompson picked up an assist for Algoma Insurance.

Additions to last week's report: Teri Bonnell picked up her first shutout if the season for Sports Gold, while newbie Debbie Bird-Thompson picked up an assist for Algoma Insurance.

This week's action caused some changes in the standings with three teams picking up their first shutouts of the season.

Crawford's – 0 vs. Skip's Kweok – 3

Penny Souliere opened the scoring for Skip's in the first period, putting the puck past Crawford's goalie Melissa Holder. Picking up an assist on the goal was Laurie Masters. Skip's then added two insurance goals in the second period to give them victory. Scoring for Skip's were Laurie Laudadio and Lynn Mazzonello. Assists went to Julie Hodkinson, Masters and pick up player Chantal Anderson. Karen Armstrong recorded her first shutout of the season.

B&J Trucking – 0 vs. Country Way – 11

In a one-sided affair, Country Way scored 7 of their 11 goals in the third period. On the way to victory Karen Gartshore scored a hat trick for Country Way, while Patti Storozuk picked up 5 assists. Also, scoring for Country Way were Andrea Garson, Jenny Sayers, Karen Jansa, Donna-May Sayers, Margie Skulech, Brenda Sayers, Diane Peitrakowski, and Liisa McMillan. Multiple assists went to Jansa (2), Julie Hazelton (2), and Skulech (2). Singles were picked up by Peitrakowski, D.M. Sayers, Garson, and McMillan.

Ont. Concrete – 7 vs. Algoma Ins. – 1

The first goal of the game happened mid-way through the first period when Ont. Concrete's Nicole Beauchamp put one passed Algoma's goalie, Joey Montgomery. Assisting on the goal was Debbie Beauchamp. The two then hooked up once again about 3 minutes later putting Ont. Concrete up 2-0. Finishing off the scoring in the first period for Ont. Concrete was Alicia Pollock from D. Beauchamp. Both teams were held off the board in the second period. Opening the scoring in third was once again the mother-daughter combination of Debbie and Nicole Beauchamp, with Debbie picking up the goal and Nicole the assist. Also, scoring for Ont. Concrete were Gerri Miller, Pollock, and Nancy Pedatella. Picking up assists were N. Beachamp, Amanda Fata, and Miller. Algoma answered back with 18 seconds left in the game. Scoring was Cathy Toni, from Robyn Bourck and Lisa Pauloff.

White Oak Paint – 3 vs. Lafarge – 0

White Oak spread out their scoring to beat Lafarge, scoring one goal each period. Scoring in the first period was Sarah Fischer, assisted by Elaine Angelic and Tammy Vice. In the second period, White Oak's goal was scored by Trish Evans, assisted by Judy Biocchi and Michele Irwin. Irwin did one better in the third period, scoring one of her own. Assisting on the play was Evans. Picking up the shutout for White Oak was Amanda Luther.

Source for Sports – 3 vs. BDO Dunwoody – 3

In an exciting game from start to finish, saw BDO jump out to an early lead when Jennifer Greco picked up her first of three goals in the first period. Picking up assists were Kellie Carter and Sandra Pawson. Answering back just minutes later for Source was Stacy Boville, assisted by Tianna Rutland. The second period saw Source take the lead, when Wanda Grife put one passed BDO goalie Meredith Agliani. Source then took a two goal lead when Rutland scored near the end of the period. Picking up assists on the goals were Patti Lutz, Heidi Haldemann, and Boville. With just 20 seconds left in the second period BDO got one back as Greco picked up her second goal of the game, unassisted. Source held the lead, until about mid-way through the third period when BDO's Greco finished off her hat trick, and ending the game in a tie. Assisting on Greco's final goal was Sara McCabe. This marks Source's third tie in three games.

Brookfield Power – 1 vs. Sports Gold - 2

Both goalies proved to be outstanding, keeping the game scoreless through the first period. Brookfield scored first, when Sharon Templeton put one passed Sports gold's Teri Bonnell in the second period. Not to be out done though, Sports Gold battled back in third period, scoring two of their own. Goals came from Marisa Pecile and Christianne Monico. Marg VanLendeghem, Adele Nanne, and Debbie Desgagne picked up assists for Sports Gold.
