Get out your clubs, shine them up, and head out to the fairway!

The Algoma U Classic Golf Tournament Committee is hosting the 14th Annual Algoma U Classic Golf Tournament, sponsored by Purvis Marine Ltd., on Monday, June 1 at Crimson Ridge Golf Course.

The Algoma U Classic Golf Tournament is one of Algoma University’s premiere fundraising events.

Golfers and sponsors join together to golf for education, raising funds for the Algoma University Scholarships and Bursaries Program.

Since its inception, the tournament has raised over $330,000.

“Every year The Algoma U Classic Golf Tournament raises a significant amount of money for the Algoma University Scholarships and Bursaries Program,” said Co-Chair of the Golf Planning Committee, Jim McAuley. “The money raised helps support our students’ success, and takes some of the burden off of the cost of tuition, living expenses, and books. The funds raised from the tournament each year provide Awards of Excellence to first year Algoma University students and helps attract the best students to our University and community.”

Golfers will enjoy 18 holes of golf at Crimson Ridge Golf Course, a complimentary box lunch, use of a drive cart, on-course contests, a luxury sit-down dinner, prizes, and an awards presentation.

Tee-off time is 1 p.m. with a shotgun start.

The tournament is a four-person scramble format, with entries in the men’s, women’s, and mixed categories.

Single entries are also accepted and will be matched with other single entries to form a team.

Registration is $150 per golfer, or $600 per team.

The deadline to register is Friday, May 22nd, 2015.

For more information on registering please contact Bev Teller, CFRE, Alumni and Development Officer at 705-949-2301 ext. 4125, or by e-mail at Bev.Teller@algomau.ca.

We look forward to seeing you on the course!
