Disasters can strike anywhere, anytime.

It is important to be prepared for the additional seasonal challenges that winter can bring.

The Sault Ste Marie Public Library is hosting a Winter Preparedness Workshop at the Centennial Library (Program Room), 50 East Street, Sault Ste. Marie.

The workshop will take place on Tuesday, November 10 from 11:30 a.m.- 1 p.m. or 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

• Family emergency communication plans
• Survival kits and ideal items to include for at least 72 hours
• How to keep yourself informed about emergencies
• Local and provincial hazards
• Pets and emergencies
• Vulnerable Persons Registry (VPR)
