Big Brothers partners with IG to put on tourney

The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sault Ste. Marie is partnering with IG Private Wealth Management Donnelly Group to host an exciting fundraising event that offers you the opportunity to make a difference for our vulnerable children of Sault Ste. Marie!

Golfers are invited to participate in the June 12 event at the Sault Ste. Marie Golf Club. What began as a desire to support the Big Brothers Big Sisters SSM programs, has grown into a one-of-a-kind event. “This is not your average, run-of-the-mill golf tournament,” explains Christine Velcich, Golf Club Committee Chair. “In addition to a hole-in-one contest where golfers can win a 2022 Nissan Rogue courtesy of Superior Nissan, golfers will have chance to enjoy the company of Craig Hartsburg, a Canadian former professional ice hockey player and head coach.”

On the course lunch will be provided by our local Metro stores. Dinner will be at Mulligans Irish Pub, located at the Sault Golf Club, overlooking the St. Mary's River with a picturesque view. Golf foursomes are $500, which includes lunch, on-course games, and dinner.

All teams registered by April 30^th will be entered into a draw for a chance to win Big Brothers Big Sisters team golf shirts and one lucky individual will get to take home a Starbucks gift basket! Sponsorships are also available.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of SSM advances and enriches the lives of children by raising funds for a variety of mentorship programs. BBBSSSM is committed to the concept that mentoring is the means by which children may reach their full potential.
