Broadspectrum, in partnership with the Sault Community Career Centre, will be hosting a job fair on Thursday, September 21 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The job fair will take place at Sault Career Centre, located at 503 Queen Street E.
Broadspectrum is currently looking for candidates to fill the following roles: Patrol Maintenance Technician, Equipment Operator, and Seasonal Grader Operator. Broadspectrum will be conducting interviews at the job fair, so applicants are encouraged to arrive prepared.
Broadspectrum operates a fleet of 41 operational snow plow trucks for the winter season (September to April). They offer employees local jobs based in the Algoma area, stable seasonal work, regular and predictable shift patterns, an established workforce with supportive management, and the possibility of fulltime work and advancement within the company.
The typical contract for these bargaining unit positions, which are represented by OPSEU, offers operators a starting wage of $20.17 per hour, with overtime rates and remote-work rates paid. While applicants are required to hold a DZ license and have an acceptable driving record, successful applicants who do not currently hold a DZ license will be given training by Broadspectrum.
