Figure skating club participates in important weekend competition

LAKE SUPERIOR FIGURE SKATING CLUB

15 skaters represented the Lake Superior Figure Skating Club at the Thunder Bay Open, Skate Ontario Super Series this past weekend, March 3-6, 2022. The Thunder Bay Super Series is one of the Provincial qualifying competitions. Provincial qualifying events include Star 5-Gold Free Skate, Star 7-9 Short Program, Star 5-Gold Artistic and Pre Novice.

Results were as follows:

“It’s been a challenging couple of years for our athletes,” said LSFSC Director of Skating and Head Coach Kerry Bain. “For some skaters Thunder Bay Open Super Series was their first competition ever, and for others it is a qualifier for Provincials.”

The Lake Superior Figure Skating Club Board of Directors is proud of all our skaters, and we are grateful for our talented and dedicated coaches.
