Get 'Social with a Purpose' in support of local Alzheimer Society

The Alzheimer Society of Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma District invites you to participate in the fall fundraiser Social with a Purpose (formerly known as Coffee Break).

Social with a Purpose takes place in the month of September to coincide with World Alzheimer’s Month. A Social with a Purpose fundraiser can be hosted virtually and held for any length of time. If September does not work for you let us know when you would prefer to host.

It’s easy as 1-2-3! Visit http://on.alz.to/socialwithapurpose to register online to receive your unique donation link to share on your social media and email to your family. friends, and co-workers.

If you are not already “Zoomed-out” from virtual meetings or get-togethers, you can also send out a link to your own Zoom party. Some hosts have taken a collection while following the most current public health guidelines.

The power of coming together virtually and hosting a Social with a Purpose will provide those living with dementia and their care partners needed social programming and other services such as family support, education, and recreation therapy. These programs and services have been shown to  help delay admittance into long term care.

The local Alzheimer Society needs to fundraise over $400,000.00 a year to continue to provide these front line services.
