GROCER 4 GOOD ABILITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

The Kiwanis Club of Sault Ste. Marie has generously supported a no-cost 'take what you need' baby item bin at Grocer 4 Good Ability Development Program or known as 'G4G' at their location on Gore Street.

“Kiwanis Club members wanted to help, and after touring our social enterprise discovered that we had free sexual health products from Algoma Public Health, free hygiene products provided by S.O.Y.A and wanted to develop a 'free to the public' offering as well. To fulfill their mission of serving children in our community it was decided to offer essentials for babies. Their generous donation was also supported by Chris Rome with gift cards to assist with our buying,” said Lisa Vezeau-Allen.

The Baby Bin includes baby wipes, baby cereal, baby fruit and vegetables and other necessities such as socks and sleepers. “We hope to only grow our baby bin and welcome families to come and take what they need and also let us know what items would be helpful for them,” said Vezeau-Allen.

“On behalf of the entire Board of Directors, we want to thank the Kiwanis Club of Sault Ste. Marie and look forward to our growing partnership in helping our community.”
