Job Fair looks to fill positions in service industries

Sault College Employment Solutions, in partnership with Agawa Crafts and the Canadian Carver, will be hosting a job fair on Wednesday, June 8 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The job fair will take place at the Employment Solutions office, located at the intersection of Queen and March Street, in the Queenscentre Building, 2nd floor (477 Queen Street East, Suite 203), Bay Street entrance.

Agawa Crafts and the Canadian Carver are looking to fill several positions in the retail stores, grocery store, and at the Canadian Carver. They are also looking for ice cream scoopers, gas attendants and general handymen. The scheduling for all of these positions is based on a twelve-hour workday. Employees will have a three-day weekend every second week and work a rotational schedule of two days on two days off. Within a two-week pay period you will work most of the time on your feet for the 7 shifts, plus earn tips.

If you are interested in applying, but are concerned about transportation out to Batchawana Bay, the employer will be providing daily transportation. Daily transportation will be from one central pickup location and transportation is free.
