LAIRD FAIR

ECHO BAY - Planning is well under way for this year’s Laird Fair and the North Shore Agricultural Society is looking for your assistance with making this year a success!
We are inviting anyone willing to volunteer their time on the Laird Fair Board and/or on the weekend of the Fair (August 14-16, 2015), as well as anyone who has ideas, to please contact LairdFair@gmail.com and provide us your valuable information and feedback.
To kick off 2015, the North Shore Agricultural Society is sponsoring their annual Ham & Bean Dinner which is scheduled for Saturday February 28, 2015 at the Bar River Hall in Echo Bay.
This event has become a community tradition, with funds raised from this dinner being put towards costs associated with putting on the Laird Fair each year.
The Ham & Bean Dinner will be held from 4:30 p.m. - 7 p.m. and will feature many yearly favorites including baked ham, baked beans, scalloped potatoes and homemade dessert.
Tickets will be available at the door at a cost of $12 and children under the age of 10 get in for free if accompanied by an adult.
In addition to providing a delicious home cooked meal, local entertainment will be performing at the dinner to entertain attendees.

The Bar River Hall is located just off Lapish Road, south of Echo Bay, ON.
Turn east off Highway 17 on Bar River Road, and drive 5 minutes until coming to Lapish Road.
The Bar River Hall will be just to your right.

About Laird Fair
The annual Laird Fair has been a tradition in Laird Township since the 1880s.
It is held every year during the third weekend of August, and includes events and activities that appeal to both newcomers and regulars of all ages including displays, horse shows, tractor pulls, and local bands and entertainment amongst many others.
Everyone is welcome to come out and take part either as a participant or an observer in all the festivities.
