NEWS RELEASE

SAULT NORTH ROTARY

*************************
Thanks to the generosity of Rotaryfest attendees, Sault North Rotary raised $1,138.20 selling ducks at their booth.

The ducks were former racers, once participants in The Great Duck Race, and looking for new homes.

Hundreds of children are racing them in their tubs and pools; the ducks are really enjoying their retirement!

The money will be donated to Polio Plus, Rotary's worldwide initiative to eradicate this crippling disease.

Sault North Rotary is a service association whose motto is "Service Above Self".

They support numerous local programs such as the Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Algoma Fall Festival Education Program, Send A Kid To Camp and Rotary Leadership Awareness Conference.
