RBC Hike for Hospice is happening this Sunday

Bring your family and friends to join us for the RBC Hike for Hospice May 31 at the Roberta Bondar Pavilion.

Hike, run, walk, wheel, or ride your way in this year’s Celebration of Life that’s both accessible and dog friendly.

Starting under the tent at 2 p.m., there will be favourites like live music, a bouncy house, face painting and new entertainment such as carnival treats and activities, food trucks, a dreamcatcher workshop and vendors. Beginning at 3:00pm the Hike kicks off and follows along the boardwalk, Sault Locks, and Whitefish Island.

After your trek, be sure to return for delicious food from vendors such as the Gnarly Bistro, Smoke’s Poutinerie, Queen’s Tarts, popcorn, and cotton candy.

The F. H. Clergue Children’s Choir and Bubble Extravaganza will wrap up the family fun during closing celebration at 4:30 p.m.

Memorial Trail, which will wrap around the boardwalk surrounding the Pavilion, is an opportunity to remember your loved ones that have passed.

Each of the over 800 residents that ARCH has served will have a Journey Tag on Memorial Trail.

Hikers have the opportunity to remember loved ones that passed outside of ARCH by purchasing a Journey Tag for a $1 donation and attaching it to Memorial Trail.

The RBC Hike registration fee is $25 per participant – children 12 and under are free.

You can collect your registration fee through pledges and we encourage you to raise as much as possible - all proceeds from this event go towards providing comfort to local families.

If you raise $100 or more in pledges, you will receive a stylish ARCH Hospice t-shirt, raise over $150, you will receive a tumbler too!

ARCH Hospice is only partially government funded, requiring $750,000 annually in community support as well as the generosity of over 100 volunteers to provide our services to the community.
