MUNICIPALITY OF HURON SHORES

Road improvements – Expect delays or plan alternate route

Public Works announces that surface treatment planned for 2016 is scheduled to commence the week of Monday, July 18, 2016.

Exact dates for doing each of the four projects are unknown, as this work is weather dependent.

If at all possible, it is recommended that you plan to use an alternate route while the work is in progress.

If it is absolutely necessary to travel a road being surface treated during the time of the work, please be prepared to anticipate some delay in your travel.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we undertake this work to improve infrastructure within the Municipality of Huron Shores.

The following is a list of the roads and sections thereof that will be receiving surface treatment this year:

    •    Melwel Road – Commencing at Highway 17, northerly, a distance of approximately 2 km
    •    Sunset Beach Road – Commencing at Highway 17 southerly, a distance of approximately 0.8 km
    •    Basswood Lake Road – Commencing at a point approximately 0.8 km north of Highway 17, for a distance beyond of approximately 1 km
    •    Ansonia Road – Commencing at Little Rapids Road, westerly for a distance of approximately 2.5 km (just beyond MacLean Road)
