Support Sault College students and get fit for free

Sault College staff, students and community members are invited to support fitness and health promotion students by joining their free lunchtime group fitness classes.

Beginning Jan. 16, classes will run Monday-Thursday from 12:30-1:15 p.m. in room A1080.Through these classes, students will further develop the knowledge and skills they have gained through their learning and your participation will be an important part of this growth. Not to mention taking advantage of an opportunity to get fit for free.

A variety of classes will be offered:

  • Monday: Body Weight Blast
  • Tuesday: Pusch It!
  • Wednesday: HIIT with Heidi
  • Thursday: Walking Weights

A full description of the classes is available here. Every class is modifiable to different abilities and fitness levels. All participants must complete a questionnaire before joining their first class. Forms can also be filled out in person before your first class. Parking is available from Northern 1 or 2 entrance in the A-Lot metered visitor parking, or from Willow 1 entrance in the daily parking lot. Parking is subject to the appropriate cost. “We’re excited to welcome our community members to our group fitness classes to further support our students in their learning and help participants achieve their health goals. Students will have an opportunity to observe, participate, and lead classes to help them grow as fitness and health professionals. Participants can join us once a week or four times a week,” said Heather Pusch, fitness and health promotion professor.
