NEWS RELEASE
WACKY WINGS
On November 11 2014, Remembrance Day, both Wacky Wings locations in Sault Ste. Marie, ON, will donate 15 percent of proceeds to the local Legion’s Poppy Fund.
Anyone wishing to make a donation to the Poppy Fund can do so at the local Legion (96 Great Northern Road) or through our taggers throughout the city during the Poppy Campaign.
Wacky Wings is also accepting donations for the Poppy Fund.
Every year, Legions across the country run a Poppy Campaign to raise awareness of the Poppy as a symbol of Remembrance.
Adopted in 1921, wearing the poppy shows appreciativeness to those who have fallen in war and military operations.
Funds raised during the Poppy Campaign provide assistance (ex: food, shelter, medical assistance) to ex-servicemen and women in need as well our local medical facilities and cadets.
Join us at Wacky Wings on November 11 and proudly help support our veterans.
