MONTREAL — The Montreal Canadiens placed forwards Peter Holland and Daniel Carr on waivers ahead of their final pre-season game on Saturday.
Should Holland and Carr clear waivers, they will report to the AHL's Laval Rocket.
Forward Michael McCarron and defenceman Jakub Jerabek, meanwhile, were both assigned to the Rocket.
Holland signed a two-year deal with the Canadiens on July 1 with a two-way contract for 2017-18 and a one-way contract for 2018-19.
The 26-year-old forward split time between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Arizona Coyotes last year.
Carr, 26, played 33 games with Montreal last season and had two goals and seven assists.
McCarron, 22, split time with the Habs and AHL St. John's IceCaps last year. He had five points in 31 games with the Canadiens.
The 26-year-old Jerabek is in his first North American season and had 34 points in 59 games for Vityaz Podolsk of the Kontinental Hockey League last season.
Montreal hosts the Ottawa Senators on Saturday night before beginning the regular season on Thursday in Buffalo.
