A Life of Unwavering Love and Devotion
Joe was the rock of his family, a shining example of love, dedication, and strength. He was the devoted son of Joe Sr. and Rita Babcock, and son-in-law of Dan and Muffy Pascottini. For over 68 years, he was the loving husband of his beloved Dolores, his partner, best friend, and soulmate. Together, they shared a love that was unwavering, unshakeable, and inspiring to all who knew them.
A Family Man
Joe's children were his greatest joy: Joseph Brian, Lorie (Peter), the late Danny (Tracy), Margy (Bert), and Michael (Patty). He was a proud Papa to eight grandchildren: Michael, Katie, Danielle, Joey, Talia, Kyle, Jacob, and Sarah, spoiling them with love, kindness, and humor. His family was his everything and he spent his life making memories, sharing laughter, and offering guidance. He is also remembered by his loving siblings-in-law, the late Sam, the late Anita, Leon (Beve), Dona (Ray), and his nieces and nephews John, Anita, Andrea, Angela, and Dina will deeply miss their special uncle.
A Life of Purpose and Passion
Joe's Catholic faith was unwavering, and his values guided his every action. He was a skilled handyman, always busy with projects and a nature lover who found peace in the beauty of the world. Music was his solace, and he sang with the Soft Tones, enjoying big band tunes and dancing with his beloved Dolores.
A Life of Service and Dedication
Joe's career was marked by hard work and integrity. He worked at the Tube Mill for most of his career and retired from Algoma Steel as a respected payroll supervisor, leaving behind a legacy of honesty and fairness.
Celebrating a Life Well-Lived
A private visitation with family was held at O'Sullivan Funeral Home followed by a graveside service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be a fitting tribute to Joe's life.
Joe may be gone, but his love and devotion to family will never be forgotten. His impact on our lives will be eternal and his memory will continue to inspire us to live with the same love, kindness and strength that he embodied every day. Dolores, his love for over 70 years, will deeply miss her partner, but will continue to celebrate their life together, surrounded by their loving family. Rest in peace, dear Joe. Your family will miss you deeply, but we will continue to celebrate your life and legacy forever.
