The family of Gary Barnes is saddened to announce his unexpected passing at Health Sciences North, Sudbury on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at the age of 73.
Loved father of Tom Barnes and Laurie Barnes. Grandfather of Megan Barnes (Kellan Korab), Allie Barnes, and Ryan Shellhorn (Melissa). Brother of Greg, Sharon, Delores, and Darcy. Gary will also be remembered by many friends, neighbours, and clients.
Camping was Gary's happy place. He gave his children and grandchildren the gift of childhoods spent at various campgrounds and lakes in Michigan and Ontario. Gary's love of dogs continued throughout his lifetime and treated each of them like royalty. He will be greatly missed by his buddy Oliver.
Gary remained committed to his many clients through his work as a life insurance broker until his passing. He enjoyed being busy and worked hard well into his retirement years. He was always working on a do-it-yourself project and enjoyed working with his hands.

In keeping with Gary's wishes, there will be no service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions (payable by cheque or online) to the Sault Ste.
