On Saturday, January 6, 2018, Hayley Baxter-Burtis walked into the arms of an angel, reuniting with Nana (Auntie Ann), Harley and Melody. Forever loving and remembering Hayley is Mom (Mike and family), best friend and brother Damon, cherished Papa (Butch), father Douglas (Dougie) Baxter and countless family members, friends, classmates, teachers and workmates such as her Paesano "family." Hayley had certain friends who were very special to her, and played such an important role in her life namely Ben, Teagan, Duncan, Kylee, Danielle and Trina. Hayley will also be in the hearts of her Kingston friends (special friend Stephy). Last but not least, Hayley leaves behind her special "little man", Nash. Hayley will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. She was the kind of person who gave her heart to so many people and who's beautiful smile absolutely captivated all in her company. Her unforgettable laugh, her "quirky" dance moves and her desire to comfort her loved ones will always be treasured. Hayley was loved and adored by all of her family and all of her friends. The lives she touched were plentiful and her memory will live forever within the hearts of many.  Family and friends are invited to visit Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel  (492 Wellington St. East 705-759-2522)  on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm.  Funeral service in the chapel on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 10:00 am. Mrs. Helen Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers, Hayley's family requests that donations be made to the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society in honour of her love for animals. Nothing spoke to Hayley like her four-legged friends. They brought smiles and pure joy to Hayley's life. Some of her happiest moments were when she was caring for an animal.

Look into the sun
And you will see her there.
Feel the wind blow by
And remember her stare.
In the stars above
She'll shine so bright.
Within the light of the moon
As she whispers good-night.
In the music that plays
She'll touch your soul.
In all her 'lil moments
When your heart, she stole.
In every child's laugh
You'll feel her heart.
And when you take a long look
You're never apart.
