Passed away peacefully at the Plummer Memorial Hospital on Sunday November 28, 2004; Gene Beaulieu at the age of 76 years. Gene was born in Lennoxville, Quebec on December 25, 1927. He leaves in mourning his sister Raymonde (Mrs. Rene Girard), his brother Gaetan of Sherbrooke, Quebec, three nieces; Daniele (Mrs. A. Couture) of Montreal, Quebec, Michele (Mrs. Y. Gaboury) of Quebec City and Marie (Mrs. K. Campbell) of Hinton, Alta. and predeceased by one nephew; Norman. Also survived by two great nephews; Vincent and Nicolas Couture and two great nieces; Laurence and Isabelle Gaboury. Gene will be sadly missed by his very special friends Gary and Mary Heeran and family. Also fondly remembered by many friends and neighbours in and around the Sault, especially in Jones Landing where he resided for 40 years. Family and friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Wednesday December 1, 2004 from 6:00 p.m. until time of funeral and committal service in the Chapel at 8:00 p.m. with Reverend Don McMillan officiating. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations made to the Sault Area Hospital Oncology Unit or to the Canadian Cancer Society (Sault Ste. Marie) would be appreciated by the family. A special thank you to Dr. Ann Lee and Dr. David Walde, the nurses at the Plummer Hospital Palliative Care and 200 Y at the General Hospital.
